Actor Rajkummar Rao has shared his thoughts on the ongoing student protests over the alleged NEET-UG exam paper leak, calling for peace, compassion and meaningful dialogue between students and authorities. The Bollywood star said that India's future depends on a fair and transparent education system, urging all sides to work towards solutions through conversation rather than conflict.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Rajkummar expressed concern over the growing unrest while emphasizing that every student's voice deserves to be heard with dignity and respect. He wrote that when young people feel unheard, it serves as a reminder that society must pay attention to their concerns. At the same time, he stressed that peace should remain the strongest tool in any movement, warning that violence from any side only makes finding solutions more difficult.
The Stree 2 actor appealed for empathy from both students and the authorities. According to Rao, students should be allowed to express themselves responsibly, while those in power should respond with openness, understanding and a genuine willingness to listen. He said lasting change is achieved through dialogue rather than confrontation, adding that meaningful conversations are more important now than ever before.
Rajkummar further highlighted that despite differing opinions, everyone ultimately shares the same goal of building a stronger nation. The actor's statement comes as the Delhi High Court issued notices to the Centre and the Delhi Police over petitions alleging excessive use of force during the July 20 protest march organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). The court has directed authorities to preserve CCTV footage and other electronic records related to the incident while seeking responses from the concerned parties. The matter is scheduled to be heard again on September 11.
