Acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi is all set to make his IIFA Digital Awards 2027 hosting debut at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Known for his distinctive screen presence, natural wit and effortless charm, the actor will step into a new role as the host of an awards show for the very first time.
For Pankaj Tripathi, the opportunity comes with a mix of excitement and nervousness. Talking about his hosting debut, the actor said, “For an actor, there are certain moments that come with a little extra nervousness and a lot of excitement and hosting the IIFA Digital Awards for the first time is definitely one of them.” He added that after spending much of his career in front of the camera and telling stories through different characters, stepping onto the IIFA stage in a completely different capacity feels both exciting and humbling.
Pankaj also highlighted the growing influence of digital entertainment and the way it has changed how audiences discover and consume stories. “The digital world has transformed the way stories are created, discovered and loved, and IIFA recognising this new generation of storytelling feels very meaningful,” he said. The actor added that being part of a celebration bringing together talented artists and creators is an honour and that he hopes to bring his trademark warmth and humour to the IIFA Digital Awards stage.
