National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee has finally reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh and the Don 3 franchise. Speaking during the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Governor, the veteran actor shared a calm and balanced response, expressing hope that the issue between Excel Entertainment and Ranveer Singh gets resolved soon.
The controversy has been making headlines ever since the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) reportedly issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh over the Don 3 matter. While several industry members have remained cautious about publicly commenting on the situation, Manoj Bajpayee chose to address it with diplomacy and maturity.
When asked about the issue during the media interaction, Manoj responded thoughtfully and said, “You’re doing a good job, but the place is very wrong. I must tell you one thing that all the people who are industry, I mean everyone is reading about it on social media, and we do not have detailed information about it, but all we can say as colleagues or as fellow fraternity members that the matter be sorted out soon.”
His statement quickly caught attention online, with many fans appreciating the actor’s composed and respectful approach toward the sensitive issue. Rather than taking sides, Manoj Bajpayee emphasized the importance of resolution and unity within the film fraternity, especially at a time when the industry is already dealing with intense public scrutiny and internal pressures.
The Don 3 controversy reportedly began after allegations surfaced regarding Ranveer Singh’s exit from the project, leading to financial concerns raised by the production side. Reports claimed that substantial pre-production investments had already been made before the actor’s withdrawal from the film. Since then, the matter has escalated into a larger industry discussion involving producers, associations, and film workers.
The veteran actor is currently promoting his upcoming political thriller Governor, where he portrays a Reserve Bank of India governor fighting to save the country during a major economic crisis.
