The much-awaited trailer of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is finally out — and it's everything fans hoped for: colorful, chaotic, and completely entertaining. Starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, the film promises to be a perfect blend of romance, drama, and Dharma-style grandeur. At the trailer launch, Rohit Saraf made a heartfelt revelation that’s winning hearts already.
Rohit opened up about filming a shot in the movie that mirrors one of the most iconic scenes in Bollywood history — Shah Rukh Khan’s entry as Rahul Raichand in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
"It’s such a huge honour to have a shot that’s even remotely similar to something so iconic," Rohit said, visibly moved. "I want to thank Shashank Khaitan and the entire Dharma team for giving me this moment. It’s probably going to be one of the most special shots of my career."
"It’s also a very expensive shot, and I’m grateful that they trusted me with it. I feel absolutely incredible — the amount of love that’s already pouring in for it is overwhelming."
Rohit also addressed the speculation around the film’s dance number Bijuria, where fans noted that despite being great dancers, neither he nor co-star Sanya Malhotra are seen performing in it .”Yes, a lot of people have pointed out that Sanya and I aren’t dancing in Bijuria, even though both of us love dancing and are known for it," he shared. "But the truth is, it just didn’t fit into the narrative. Sometimes, the story takes precedence over everything else, and this was one of those moments.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is a vibrant romantic comedy directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film stars Rohit Saraf, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan in key roles. The film is set to hit theatres on 2 October, 2025.
