In a landmark announcement, Azure Entertainment revealed its first-ever Hollywood collaboration with US-based Red Bison Productions. The untitled feature film, described as “a global story,” is based on an extraordinary true story exploring the emotional and cultural journey of an immigrant family navigating life beyond the traditional notion of the American Dream.
The project stars Mohit Raina and Priya Mani, blending North and South Indian cinematic talent. Raina, known for his TV breakthrough Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev and recent film ventures like The Kashmir Files, will bring his versatile screen presence to an international canvas. Priya Mani, a National Award-winning actress recognized for films like Paruthiveeran, adds critical acclaim and South Indian representation, signaling a broader talent export for Indian actors.
The film is written and directed by Harsh Mahadeshwar, also known as @thescientistfilmmaker, with a script inspired by real-life immigrant experiences. The story promises to offer a heartfelt yet compelling examination of identity, ambition, and resilience, exploring how familial bonds persist amid cultural and societal challenges in a new country.
Filming is slated to begin in April 2026, with major sequences shot across New York and New Jersey, complemented by portions filmed in Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir. The production will combine Hollywood crew expertise with Azure Entertainment’s signature filmmaking experience behind hits like Rocky Handsome, Badla, and Kesari (₹208 crore worldwide gross).
Azure Entertainment’s founder, along with Red Bison Productions’ team, emphasized that this Indo-US collaboration represents a convergence of storytelling traditions — Mumbai’s narrative sensibilities meeting Hollywood’s technical prowess. While the film’s title, additional cast, and release date remain under wraps, the studio promises a “powerful tale” designed for both Indian and global audiences.
As Indian cinema increasingly ventures into international projects, this collaboration exemplifies a new wave of cross-border storytelling. With Mohit Raina and Priya Mani leading the cast and a true story at its heart, the film is positioned to resonate emotionally while showcasing Indian talent on a global stage.
