Roadside Attractions has unveiled the first trailer for The Unholy Trinity, a gripping new Western that blends vengeance, buried secrets, and old-school frontier justice. Directed by Richard Gray and written by Lee Zachariah, the film was formerly known as The Salted Earth and features an all-star cast led by Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson. Set in the rugged terrain of 1870s Montana, the trailer teases a bloody reckoning fueled by betrayal and generational grudges.
The story follows Henry Broadway, played by Brandon Lessard, who is tasked with a final mission from his father, Isaac (Pierce Brosnan), moments before Isaac’s execution—track down and kill the man who framed him. What begins as a mission of revenge quickly spirals into a moral quagmire as Henry arrives in the ominously named town of Trinity. There, he finds himself entangled in a tense power struggle between Gabriel Dove (Samuel L. Jackson), the town’s enigmatic sheriff, and a shadowy outsider known only as St. Christopher.
With its sweeping visuals, intense character dynamics, and a haunting original score, The Unholy Trinity promises a Western experience laced with psychological tension and brutal action. The cast also includes Veronica Ferres, Q'orianka Kilcher, David Arquette, Ethan Peck, and Tim Daly, each contributing to the rich tapestry of this lawless frontier town. The trailer hints at gunfights, betrayal, and a hidden treasure that could reshape everything—if anyone lives long enough to find it.
Set to release on June 13, 2025, The Unholy Trinity marks a return to the darker, grittier roots of the Western genre, with modern storytelling layered beneath the dust and gun smoke. With Brosnan and Jackson sharing the screen in roles packed with tension and mystery, the film is poised to be a standout in this summer's lineup of high-stakes cinema.
