The mists of Kashmir are about to reveal something chilling. Jio Studios has officially unveiled the first poster for its upcoming supernatural thriller Baramulla, announcing that the mystery-laden series will premiere exclusively on Netflix on November 7, 2025. The eerie announcement, accompanied by a cryptic caption, has set off a wave of curiosity across social media.
“Welcome to the town, where truth is a myth, and myths have truth. Enter the world of ‘Baramulla’ on 7th November. Only on Netflix India,” the caption read, teasing a world where folklore bleeds into the terrifying unknown.
Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale (best known for Article 370), Baramulla stars the ever-compelling Manav Kaul as DSP Ridwaan Sayyed, a police officer sent to investigate a disturbing wave of child disappearances in the titular Kashmiri town. But what begins as a criminal probe soon descends into a nightmarish spiral of supernatural occurrences—especially after Ridwaan and his family move into an ancient colonial bungalow that may hold the town’s darkest secrets.
The newly released poster amps up the intrigue: a giant human eye dominates the frame, with ghostly hands emerging from its iris, set against a backdrop of storm-swept mountains and a weathered, colonial-era mansion. The visual perfectly encapsulates the show’s unsettling premise, hinting at a blurred line between what’s real and what’s hauntingly unreal.
Joining Manav Kaul is Bhasha Sumbli (of The Kashmir Files), who plays a pivotal role in the eerie narrative. The series is produced by Jio Studios in collaboration with B62 Studios, with support from Aditya Dhar Films, and features a robust creative team including Jyoti Deshpande, Lokesh Dhar, Arnold Fernandes, Shivkumar V. Panicker, and more.
While Baramulla shares its name with the real town in Jammu & Kashmir, it’s worth noting that this Netflix series is separate from any current documentary or web content set in the region, such as Real Kashmir. This is pure supernatural storytelling—anchored in place, history, and myth.
With its gripping plot, moody visuals, and a lead actor known for emotional depth and gravitas, Baramulla is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of psychological thrillers and supernatural mysteries.
