Dharma Productions has revealed two powerful new posters for Homebound, the upcoming Hindi-language drama directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan. Homebound stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. It tells the story of two childhood friends from a small village in North India who dream of becoming police officers—a path they believe will grant them the dignity and recognition long denied to them. However, their shared ambition is soon tested by growing societal pressures, personal conflicts, and systemic obstacles, challenging not just their friendship, but their very sense of identity.
The screenplay, written by Sumit Roy, Varun Grover, and Shreedhar Dubey, is based on a 2020 New York Times article by journalist and author Basharat Peer.
