Leave it to Aditya Roy Kapur to keep it cool, candid, and just a little bit savage. While promoting his upcoming film Metro In Dino at the trailer launch event, the heartthrob was asked what turns him on — and off — when it comes to romance. And let’s just say… he didn’t hold back.
With his signature smirk, Aditya dropped a major red flag: “Someone who’s got a prison record… might go against. Someone who’s been to jail — yeah, that’s a red flag.” Yikes! So, if your ex was behind bars and you’re hoping to shoot your shot — maybe rethink that DM.
But it wasn’t all sass and shade. Aditya balanced it out with a heartfelt green flag that had everyone swooning. “Kindness is an important thing,” he said, seriously soft-boying his way into our hearts. “If you’re planning to be with someone for a long time, you’ll go through all kinds of situations. If someone is inherently kind, that’s definitely a green flag.” Aww, we love a man with emotional depth and some serious grown-up perspective.
Then came the kicker — a cheeky reference to co-star Pankaj Tripathi’s earlier comment: “And like sir said, if they land up in your hall with suitcases... it might be a problem.” Yep, Aditya just low-key shaded stage-five clingers in the most hilarious way possible.
Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu and releasing on July 4, 2025, promises a whirlwind of love stories, drama, and everything in between. And if Aditya’s real-life love radar is anything to go by, expect a lot of spice and surprises along the way.
Ladies (and gents), you’ve been warned — keep the suitcases in the closet… unless you’re bringing kindness too.
