FWICE Ban%3A Is Ranveer Singh’s Team Using Polished English to Play the ‘3 Idiots’ Style ‘Ignore Kar’ Strategy?

The ongoing war of words—or rather, the war of silence—between Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees has taken a fascinating turn. Following the federation's strict non-cooperation directive over his abrupt exit from Don 3, Ranveer’s team finally broke their silence.
But a closer look at their official statement begs the question%3A Did they actually address the issue, or did they just execute a masterclass in corporate evasion?
To quote the iconic dialogue from 3 Idiots — “Ignore kar, ignore kar” — it seems Ranveer’s PR machinery has adopted this exact philosophy, wrapping it up in heavy, sophisticated vocabulary to sound dignified while completely bypassing the core controversy.

The Art of Saying Everything While Saying Nothing

When FWICE President B N Tiwari and Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit announced the ban, they leveled very specific and serious allegations against the actor%3A
  1. He allegedly walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s multi-crore project just three weeks before shooting.
  2. He allegedly ignored three official reminders sent by the industry body.
  3. His team allegedly dismissed a trade union as an “inappropriate forum” for contractual disputes.
Instead of answering why he walked out or why he skipped the reminders, Ranveer’s official spokesperson released a statement dripping with words like “restraint,” “grace,” “maturity,” and “dignity.”
The statement noted that Ranveer had “consciously chosen to maintain silence” and would not engage in a “media trial.”
In plain English, the message appeared to be%3A
“We are too dignified to talk about this, so we are going to ignore you.”

Better Language, Same Avoidance

While the 3 Idiots approach works beautifully in a comedy film to avoid conflict, the real-world implications for a Bollywood superstar are far more serious. By framing their complete lack of cooperation as a “conscious decision of restraint and grace,” the actor’s team appears to be attempting to occupy the moral high ground.
They are essentially telling the industry and the public%3A
We are focused on work, we wish the franchise well, and we are not going to lower ourselves into a public mud fight.

The Looming Risk of the ‘Ignore’ Strategy

But can a superstar truly afford to “ignore kar” the very federation that represents the daily wage workers, technicians, and spot boys required to shoot his next films?
While Ranveer’s team is busy polishing its vocabulary to maintain a pristine brand image, FWICE appears equally firm in its stance, demanding a personal, face-to-face meeting. A corporate shield may help protect perception in high-end brand circles, but on the actual studio floors of Mumbai, a non-cooperation directive can become a practical roadblock.
Ranveer’s team has successfully bought some time with a graceful and carefully worded statement. However, sooner or later, the actor may have to stop ignoring the controversy and give the industry some real, unpolished answers.
