India’s top female gaming star Payal Dhare, popularly known as Payal Gaming, has finally addressed the recently leaked fake video controversy — and she’s doing it with complete confidence. The streamer, who is also a key member of S8UL Esports, didn’t mince words while speaking about the incident that shook social media. “My entire YouTube community was with me. All my Instagram friends were with me. And if I'm not wrong, then what do I have to fear? I'm not afraid of anything. Nor am I scared of anything. So, I'm upfront about everything,” she said, making it clear that she refuses to be intimidated by online smear attempts.
The controversy also opened up a larger conversation about digital safety and AI misuse. When asked whether stronger laws are needed to protect influencers from such misuse, Payal remained optimistic. “This will definitely happen in the coming days. People have become very careful about things now. The cyber department is very helpful. If anything happens, you can file a complaint within 24 hours.” She also warned fans about the growing number of AI-generated fake accounts. “AI has pros and cons. It can’t replace us. But people should be careful. There are a lot of fake accounts and scams happening online.”
Despite the turbulence, Payal continues to celebrate her success. At a recent Influencer Awards event, she radiated excitement. “I'm very excited. I love coming to awards shows and meeting people. People hype it up a lot. So it's fun,” she shared. For someone who has become India’s first female gamer to cross 4 million YouTube subscribers, mainstream recognition now feels natural.
Beyond gaming, Payal has also built a strong identity as a style icon. When asked about her fashion influence, she smiled, “I enjoy it. I like styling myself. I love fashion, so that's what I do. And I think people like you for it.” Her fan base spans both girls and boys, drawn not only to her gameplay but also to her confident, trend-forward persona.
Speaking about the rise of gaming culture, Payal highlighted how far the industry has come. “Gaming is also being awarded along with influencers. Gaming has already become mainstream. We used to say gaming was a rare niche. But now gamers are everywhere. Just open Instagram — everyone’s there. We’re mainstream now.” Having spent nearly six years building her career, she says the spotlight no longer makes her nervous. “It’s normal for me now. I’m quite confident and enjoy meeting new people and attending all these functions.”
Off-screen, Payal is also living her fangirl moments. She recently attended the India-Pakistan cricket match and called it “an amazing match.” She even shared her excitement about meeting Rohit Sharma. “I’ve shot with him twice. The first shoot was amazing, and he recognized me. This time, when I met him, it was great.” She also mentioned her admiration for players like Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma. And to her loyal fan — lovingly called “Vabs” short for Vaibhav — she had one heartfelt message: “Vabs is absolutely my best supporter. Keep smiling, Vabs.”
From handling controversies head-on to dominating gaming and influencer culture, Payal Dhare proves she’s not just surviving the digital age — she’s owning it.
