Amid the growing buzz, Prince Narula addressed the controversy while speaking to the media at the sidelines of The Candy Safari event, where he was accompanied by his wife Yuvika Chaudhary. Prince strongly defended Baseer, suggesting that the situation may have been misinterpreted and stressing that his friend is not someone who initiates conflict without reason.
Here is exactly what Prince Narula said in his own words: “Baseer Ali is a nice guy. He is a very sensible guy; he never picks fights or confronts anyone without a valid reason. If an incident did occur, then obviously someone must have done something wrong to provoke a reaction.”
“And we are only human, after all. I believe that whenever someone acts inappropriately right in front of you—whether we are actors or whatever else—we are still human beings. If someone does something wrong, we will react just like any ordinary person would” added Prince.
Prince further clarified that what initially appeared to be a serious confrontation may have been misunderstood in the chaos following the event. He explained that post-party exits often involve confusion and commotion, which can easily be misread as something more intense than it actually is.
“Initially, what happens is that as soon as you step out of a party, there’s usually just some playful banter or commotion. So, that’s what we thought it was.”
“Yes, the incident might have been captured on camera—that’s a normal occurrence—but we want to clarify that there was absolutely no media present at the scene. There were no media personnel there whatsoever. And by the time...well, honestly, we had no idea what was happening. If we had realized that Basir was involved, both of us would have been right there with him.”
