Two of Bollywood's most celebrated voices, Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, have reunited for the soulful romantic track Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan from the upcoming film Prahaar - The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. Presented by T-Series, the song features Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in a beautiful wedding sequence filled with romance, laughter and affectionate moments. With music composed by Pritam and lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, along with Marathi lyrics by Ameya Dayal, the track brings together a talented musical team to celebrate the joy of finding love. The reunion of Shreya and Sonu adds a nostalgic touch to the melody, making it a special treat for listeners who have enjoyed their memorable collaborations over the years.
Set against the colourful backdrop of wedding festivities, Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan captures the little moments that make a relationship special. From stolen glances and playful exchanges to affectionate gestures and intimate celebrations, the music video showcases the growing bond between Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's characters. Their chemistry brings warmth to the visuals, while the voices of Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam add emotional depth to the romantic atmosphere. Rather than relying on grand declarations of love, the song celebrates companionship through everyday expressions of affection, giving the wedding sequence a personal and heartfelt quality.
Sharing her experience of recording the track, Shreya Ghoshal said, “‘Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan’ is a beautiful celebration of love, companionship and those little moments that make a relationship special. It has such a warm and romantic soul, and I loved bringing that emotion alive through my voice. Singing alongside Sonu ji always brings a special musical feeling, and this song was no different. Seeing Rajkummar and Wamiqa’s chemistry and the tenderness of their wedding moments on screen made the song even more special. I hope listeners feel the same warmth and happiness when they hear it.” Her words reflect the emotional connection she felt with the composition and the joy of collaborating once again with Sonu Nigam on a romantic melody.
Sonu Nigam also expressed his happiness about reuniting with Shreya Ghoshal for the song, praising both the composition and the performances featured in the music video. He shared, “‘Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan’ is a song that celebrates love in its simplest and most beautiful form. It was wonderful to come together with Shreya once again for a melody that carries so much warmth and emotion. Her voice brings a beautiful sensitivity to the song, and together we have tried to create something that feels timeless and heartfelt. The chemistry between Rajkummar and Wamiqa beautifully complements the emotion of the song, and I hope audiences enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.” His comments highlight the musical understanding between the two singers and their shared effort to create a melody that connects emotionally with listeners.
The song also offers audiences a glimpse into the relationship between the characters played by Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in Prahaar - The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam. Their wedding celebrations provide a romantic contrast to the film's larger narrative, introducing a softer and more personal side to the story. Rajkummar and Wamiqa's natural screen presence complements the composition, while the combination of Hindi and Marathi lyrical elements adds another dimension to the track. With Pritam's musical arrangement and the expressive vocals of Shreya and Sonu, the song aims to capture the excitement, comfort and emotional connection that come with beginning a new chapter together.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, Prahaar - The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam is directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware and stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.
