Veteran actor and Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha has reacted to the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area, describing it as “shocking” and expressing concern over the safety of the actor and his family. In a post on X, Sinha highlighted how Tiger reportedly escaped without gunshot injuries while his driver was hurt. He also acknowledged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for taking the matter seriously.
Expressing his alarm over the incident, Sinha wrote on X, “What’s happening???? Yesterday’s shocking, worrying attacks, threats, targeting & firing on most loved star @TIGERSHROFF worthy son of the most worthy father @bindasbhidu. In fact Tiger was lucky to go unhurt, but his poor driver was injured badly. Honble CM, Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis & Dy.CM @mieknathshinde seem to be extremely concerned on this serious matter. Jai Hind!” His post reflected his concern about the reported attack and the need to address the safety of the actor and those around him.
The firing incident reportedly took place on Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area. According to police, unidentified individuals opened fire as Tiger was leaving a football club in his car at around 7 pm. The sudden incident raised serious concerns, particularly because the actor was travelling with his driver when the shots were fired. While Tiger escaped without any gunshot injuries, two people, including his driver, were reported injured.
Mumbai Police has registered a case against three unidentified individuals under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. Investigators are working to identify the accused and establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The motive behind the incident has not yet been officially confirmed, and the investigation remains underway.
Following the incident, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger’s residence on Sunday night to enquire about his well-being and assure the family of the state government’s support. Photographs from the meeting showed the actor with dressings on his shoulder and chest and a bandage on his right arm. His mother, Ayesha Shroff, was also present during the visit. The meeting came amid growing concern over the incident and the safety of the actor’s family.
After meeting Tiger, Shinde spoke to reporters and condemned the firing. He said the actor had sustained injuries to his hand caused by “gunpowder and shards of glass” and assured the family that the state government would take the necessary steps to ensure their safety. As the investigation continues, Sinha’s reaction has added to the public attention surrounding the case, with questions remaining about the motive and those responsible for the shooting.
