With its star-studded cast, large-scale visual presentation and music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, the film is gearing up for one of the most anticipated theatrical releases of the year.

Sharing the announcement on X, Lara wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we celebrate the beginning of a new era. Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai. 🏹 Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Part 1: In cinemas WORLDWIDE, across all premium formats, from 5th November. Advance bookings open on Dussehra.”

The announcement connects the film's arrival with the festive season, using Navratri as an occasion to introduce audiences to what the makers describe as the beginning of a new era. The newly shared poster offers a glimpse into the epic's dramatic visual world, featuring the central characters against a fiery, temple-like backdrop. Its scale and imagery reflect the film's ambition to bring the timeless story of Lord Ram to the big screen for audiences across the world.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part 1 features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Yash also playing a prominent role in the epic. The ensemble includes Sunny Deol and several other actors, bringing together performers from different parts of the Indian film industry. The project aims to combine the emotional and spiritual dimensions of the ancient story with contemporary filmmaking technology and a large-scale theatrical presentation.

The film's technical team has also attracted attention, with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer collaborating with A.R. Rahman on the music. The production involves leading visual-effects and technology companies, including DNEG and Prime Focus, while the makers have highlighted its worldwide release across premium formats, including IMAX. These elements are expected to play a major role in translating the epic's landscapes, battles and larger-than-life characters into a cinematic spectacle.

Lara's announcement also tagged a broad group of cast members, collaborators and production partners associated with the film, including Namit Malhotra, Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. The extensive list underlines the scale of the production and the many creative teams involved in bringing the project to life.

By unveiling the poster during Navratri and announcing the release date alongside the phrase “Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai,” the makers have tied the film's promotional campaign to a significant festive period.
