Esha Deol recently spoke from the heart about coping with the loss of her father, veteran superstar Dharmendra Ji, sharing how his presence continues to guide her in everyday life. At a Mumbai event announcing her collaboration with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for a luxury villa project in Alibaug, Esha reflected on grief, family bonds, and the deeply personal influence her father continues to have on her journey.
Talking about dealing with loss, Esha said, “Everyone has their own way of coping with such a huge loss, for me, he is always there with me in my heart, and I carry his strength with me wherever I go.” Her words highlighted how she continues to find comfort in memories of Dharmendra Ji, describing his strength as something she carries forward in her personal and professional life.
The event also turned emotional when Esha spoke about her father while discussing the design collaboration and her shared love for creativity with him. Struggling to hold back emotions, she said, “This journey would be incomplete without mentioning my father, Dharmendra Ji, we both shared a passion for designs and the special bond we shared, that is something I carry with me even today, Papa and I would spend….(crying)…it’s so difficult, I can’t talk about it, its difficult….okay…Papa and I would spend hours discussing different landscape, and he would always say, Lage Raho bete, Karte Raho, and those words, I carry with me today, with me, which guide me.”
Her emotional recollection painted a deeply personal picture of Dharmendra Ji not just as a legendary actor, but as a father who encouraged creativity, patience, and perseverance. The phrase “Lage Raho bete, Karte Raho” has now become more than just words for Esha—it stands as a guiding force in her life and work.
Esha’s collaboration with HoABL for its Alibaug villa project also reflects her passion for design and aesthetics, something she shares a strong emotional connection with through her father. The project aims to blend luxury living with creative vision, marking a new chapter in her professional journey while staying rooted in family inspiration.
Through her words, Esha Deol offered a touching reminder of how legacy lives on not only in fame or films, but in values, memories, and everyday strength passed from parent to child. For her, Dharmendra Ji remains a constant presence—quiet, guiding, and deeply cherished.
