The madness of Chumbak is far from over, and Netflix India has now given fans another reason to get excited. The streaming giant shared a playful new post teasing Chumbak: Part 2, promising that the “Chumbak-bak” will continue with even more chaos. The second part of the Hindi comedy-drama is set to premiere on October 1, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
Netflix India shared the announcement with the cheeky line, “Chumbak-bak ain't over yet, be ready for more madness.” The fun wordplay perfectly matches the quirky spirit of the show, which has already introduced viewers to a colourful group of families living in a Mumbai residential colony. With Part 1 ending on a cliffhanger, the upcoming episodes are expected to pick up the drama while keeping the humour firmly intact.
Created by Aatish Kapadia and Jamnadas “JD” Majethia, the creative minds behind popular shows such as Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Khichdi, Chumbak premiered on Netflix on September 10, 2026. The series revolves around five interconnected and eccentric families, bringing together everyday arguments, gossip, relationships and plenty of neighbourhood madness. The result is a comedy-drama where the smallest family issue can quickly become everybody’s business.
At the heart of the story is Rajni Merchant, played by Neena Gupta, who is trying to divorce her husband Kuku, portrayed by Deven Bhojani. Kuku is dealing with early-onset dementia, adding an emotional layer to the otherwise lively family setting. The show balances its comedy with more serious conversations around relationships, family responsibilities and the complications that can arise when several generations live closely together.
The ensemble cast is another major attraction, with Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Sumeet Vyas, Manasi Parekh, Helly Shah, Arjun Bijlani and Sumeet Raghavan among the familiar faces bringing the colony’s residents to life. The promotional post for Part 2 suggests that the entire gang is ready to return for another round of arguments, secrets and unexpected twists. With so many personalities sharing one neighbourhood, peace was never really an option.
The first eight episodes of Chumbak are currently streaming on Netflix, and the cliffhanger ending has left viewers waiting to see what happens next. Now, with Chumbak: Part 2 arriving on October 1, the countdown has officially begun. If the latest teaser is anything to go by, the show’s second chapter is bringing back the same eccentric characters, family drama and comic chaos—with perhaps an even bigger dose of madness this time around.
