Anil Kapoor has marked 43 years since the release of his 1983 film Woh 7 Din, revisiting the project that played a defining role in establishing him as a recognizable face in Hindi cinema. The actor shared a heartfelt post along with a montage of scenes from the film, reflecting on how it became the turning point in his early career.

The post read, "43 years of Woh 7 Din. Some films stay with you forever. For me, this will always be one of them. I have said it earlier and I’ll always say it, that I am grateful to #PadminiKolhapure and #NaseeruddinShah. I always miss them a little extra when it comes to celebrating Woh 7 Din. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t think I’d be celebrating these 43 years today. They made a newcomer like me feel welcome and gave me the confidence I needed to connect with the audience. A big thank you to the Great and Late #BapuSaab for also believing in me and directing me, #KBhagyaraj for writing such a beautiful story, and to my father #SurinderKapoor and my brother @BoneyKapoor for believing in me and producing the film. Before Woh 7 Din, I had done a few films, but this was the one that truly introduced me to all of you. It gave me my first real chance to be seen, to be accepted, and to begin this incredible journey. Forever grateful."

Released at a time when Kapoor was still finding his footing in the industry, Woh 7 Din gave him his first major opportunity to connect with audiences in a meaningful way. The film not only introduced him to a wider viewership but also helped shape the beginning of what would become a long and enduring journey in Indian cinema.

In his post, Kapoor expressed deep gratitude toward his co-stars Padmini Kolhapure and Naseeruddin Shah, crediting them for supporting him during his early days as a newcomer. He also remembered director Bapu for believing in him and guiding the film, along with writer K. Bhagyaraj, whose story formed the emotional backbone of the project.

The actor further acknowledged the role of his family in the film’s journey, thanking his father Surinder Kapoor and brother Boney Kapoor for producing the film and supporting his early career choices. Their involvement, he noted, was instrumental in bringing the project to life.

Over four decades later, Woh 7 Din continues to be remembered as one of Anil Kapoor’s most significant early milestones. The film is still celebrated for its emotional storytelling, music, and Kapoor’s earnest performance, which helped establish the foundation for a career that has spanned generations of Indian cinema.
