The buzz around Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has taken an unexpected turn after producer Ramesh Taurani addressed the ongoing controversy involving veteran filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani. Despite the legal noise surrounding the film, Taurani made it clear that there is no threat to the movie’s promotions or release plans.

Speaking during the trailer launch event of the much-awaited comedy entertainer, Taurani confidently dismissed concerns linked to the legal notice. According to him, the issue has largely been handled behind the scenes. “Whatever we had has been sorted,” he said, while assuring fans and media that the film’s promotional campaign will continue smoothly without any interruption.

The controversy reportedly revolves around the recreation and reuse of songs associated with one of Vashu Bhagnani’s earlier films. Bhagnani has repeatedly maintained that the matter is more about ethics and creative respect than financial disagreements. The veteran producer also expressed disappointment over filmmaker David Dhawan allegedly recreating songs connected to his projects without proper consent.

Interestingly, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai marks the fourth collaboration between David Dhawan and his son Varun Dhawan — a duo known for delivering crowd-pleasing entertainers filled with comedy, confusion and energetic dance numbers. With the trailer already creating chatter online, the film promises a colorful mix of romance, misunderstandings and classic Bollywood-style madness.

The movie stars Varun Dhawan alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The story revolves around a chaotic love triangle packed with comic twists, relationship drama and larger-than-life humour. Going by the trailer reaction, audiences can expect a full-on family entertainer loaded with nostalgic Bollywood vibes.

Adding more star power to the project is an ensemble supporting cast featuring Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Rajesh Kumar and Ali Asgar in key roles. The film is produced by Tips Films Ltd and co-produced by Maximilian Films (UK).

Despite the ongoing controversy, the makers remain confident about the film’s theatrical journey. Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is currently scheduled for a worldwide release on June 5, 2026, and fans are eager to see whether the Varun-David Dhawan combo can once again recreate box office magic.
