The Colors would experience a new set of working team’s. The pyramid would change with the change of designation. The in house restructure would turn in a well developed team that would lead the Mumbai and Delhi in sales sector. This would help the channel to take it to next level.  Colors have reorganized its sales team in two specialized verticals on the basis of clients and markets. Mumbai and Delhi, given the size of the markets, have been split vertically on the basis of clients, thereby creating a Mumbai 1 & Mumbai 2 team and similarly for Delhi as Delhi 1 and Delhi 2.

Pavithra Kumar would be leading Mumbai 1 & Delhi 1 with additional responsibility of the southern market.  Teams 2 of Delhi and Mumbai would be head Pritesh Magodia with additional responsibility of the East region. To have a cross check the daily reports of the team would go to channel’s EVP – Sales, Simran Hoon. Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors, explained, “The objective is to approach our clients in a much focused manner and ensure they get personalized service. We want our sales teams to be an extension of our clients marketing team and felt this approach will bring a better understanding of the clients’ needs, so that we are able to offer a customized solution to them.”

Today Manisha Sharma has also joined in as Weekend Programming Head. Sharma will work along with the Weekday Programming Head, Prashaant Bhatt to manage the entire portfolio of fiction and nonfiction content on Colors. Sharma would play a key role. He would be solely responsible for the shows that air on weekends. Both Bhatt and Sharma will report to Nayak.

The restructure would strengthen and give it a power to run. A healthy competition always benefits. The competition between the teams would lead into better productivity and more and more output. They would bring in better concepts, good contents and understand viewer’s choice closely.  “Given Manisha’s vast experience and thorough knowledge of the industry, I am sure she will bring in the edge and experience in taking weekend programming to a new level. With this dynamic combination of Prashant managing the weekday programming and Manisha taking charge of weekends, we are hoping to make sure that COLORS is a strong player throughout the week and, through this realignment equal focus will be laid on both – weekday and weekend.”  Says Nayak.
