al Jazeera enters next DTH platform.

Al Jazeera a well known Dubai based English Channel entered Indian markets with dish TV. After a gap they decided The Qatar-based English news channel, Al Jazeera, has announced its launch on Tata Sky from April 26, 2012. It belives that tata sky is brand and would help the channel to reach across the country to over 25 million household. Globally, Al Jazeera English is available in over 260 million households across 130 countries. It also believes the Indian market is complex and difficult to figure out the complexities.  Diana Hosker, Regional Distribution Director, Al Jazeera Network, said, “The gap happened because of capacity issues. Tata and Dish DTH platforms will help us reach the critical mass in India, which is a critical market for us.” To handel the Indian subcontinents they appointed efficient Paul Johnson as their Marketing Director to overlook marketing in the Indian subcontinent. Tata sky would promote the channel in an usual way by sending B-mail to current subscribers and incorporate the creative’s once they receive them from the channel, on our Help channel.” There would not be any India specific feed now. They have a complete panel including Anmol Saxena, Bureau Chief, Al Jazeera English, India; Diana Hosker, Regional Distribution Director, Al Jazeera Network; Nicola Bamford, Head of Content & Business Development, Tata Sky; Mukund Sharma, Associate Vice President, Tata Sky.
