“Wanted to be a part of historical cinema”- Rituparna Sengupta

Actress Rituparna Sengupta who will be seen essaying the role of Anurupa Devi, elder sister of the one of the youngest revolutionaries early in the Indian independence movement Khudiram Bose, in biopic Main Khudiram Bose Hun expressed her desire to be part of historical cinema.
 
Rituparna, who is positive about the venture, told, “Getting involve in a historic movie itself is a very interesting thing. I always wanted to be a part of this kind of movie.” She said in an interview. 
 
Rituparna, the popular Bengali star who has won National Film Award unfolds that apart from her interest, she feels the life of ‘Khudiram Bose’ should get attention of audience, “We have been in talk about this film for 3-4 months. When I got the script I felt that I should be part of this project. This is an integral part of Indian History.  I don’t know how many people know about Bose who has sacrificed his life in young age I thought that his work and sacrifice should get more media attention.”  
 
Talking about her role, said Ritu, “I am playing Anurupa Devi elder sister of Khudiram, who has a huge influence in Bose’s life, small but very important role. There is a depiction of beautiful brother-sister love, sacrifice of Anurupa Devi which plays an inspiration in Bose’s life. “
 
Being a Bengali, the actress stated she has been given her ‘inputs on the costumes’ as the ‘look has to be authentic’ even she has given tips how a woman in Bengal drapes a saree in a typical way.
 
Shooting of the biopic ‘Main Khudiram Bose Hun’, has begun in January, features a handful of talented actors like Kanishk Kumar Jain, Sushant Sahni, Rituparna Sen Gupta, Imran Hasnee, Balendra Singh Balu, Rajan Gour, Kanchan Awasthi and Roopa Ganguli.
