Movie Review

Rating :

Verdict : One time watch

Himesh Reshammiya is back with his most recent offering Teraa Surroor, which depicts itself rather strangely as a "lethal love story".

Story: Tera Suroor touts as the sequel to Aap Ka Suroor and is a romantic thriller. Story revolves around Raghu (Himesh Reshammiya) and Tara (Farah Karimaee) with lots of dose of twists and turns and foreign locales. Tara gets into prison in a drug sneaking case in Dublin. Raghu tries every one of his approaches to take an attempt at getting her out. In the process he meets Santino who is an expert in breaking out of prisons. The story additionally has Shekar Kapur having influence. The second half of the film deals with the flashback of Raghu.

What’s Hot: The best part of the film is its music which is composed by Himesh himself and he hits right chord. For a change he has made another person do a playback for him. The photography is additionally great with the regions they have chosen. All are extremely sumptuous and a meriting cinematography. Dublin has been exploited to the core. There ends the good parts of the film. The movie is loaded with excessive twists for the brain to record and in the lastly it turns to be ordinary. However, action scenes were very much well-directed.

What’s Not: The film's plot is nothing truly captivating. It required a great deal all the more preparing at the scripting stage itself. Additionally I wonder why most noteworthy performing artists like Naseeruddin Shah and Shekhar Kapoor went ahead with Tera Suroor. The movie is packed with a ton of stereotypical dialogs that one would ridicule. The show likewise feels undesirable at a few spots.

Performances: Performances wise, Himesh’s performance is as boring as before. He doesn’t show any sign of improving in his near future. Once again he makes us ponder why he has to struggle so much to become a ‘hero’ when he consistently delivers back to back chartbusters every year. Also the grapevine says he has three more movies signed down the line after Tera Suroor. So get ready to see the same sad face with minimal expressions for the next films. The lead actress Farah’s debut was not so impressive. She tried her oomph to a good enough extent but didn’t score any marks on the acting side.

On the whole the movie is for the hardcore Himesh Reshammiya’s fans who don’t mind seeing the bland acting.

Raghu (Himesh Reshammiya)
An assassin in the deep dark world of criminals, though said to be a cold-hearted man of few words, Raghu is full of emotions for his family. A loving boyfriend and a caring son, he's known as a man of values who always stands for the right, even in the underworld. However, no one knows his true identity.

Tara (Farah Karimaee)
Brought up by her single mother, Tara is emotional and always follows her heart. A lead singer and guitarist of a rock band, she trusts an internet friend and goes to Ireland to be away from her childhood love, Raghu. She is angry with him due to certain situations and her trusting nature lands her in unforeseen trouble.

Police Commissioner A.A. Khan (Kabir Bedi)
Very patriotic at heart, he'll go to any kength for his motherland. He has a vibrant and also an over-powering personality. He is feared and respected at every level of the police force throughout the country for his loud machismo persona. He leaves no stone unturned in solving any case he investigates.

Rajveer Kaul (Shekhar Kapur)
55-year-old Rajveer is the Indian ambassador in Ireland and a very patriotic man. A very positive and intelligent man, he knows his way out of even the most difficult situations. A man of unwavering integrity, he never fails to stand for the right things in his life.

Elle Jardan (Monica Dogra)
A well-known criminal lawyer in Dublin, Elle is a strong-headed woman who understands life very well. She got married to Rajveer Kaul at a very young age, but soon realised that they are not made for each other and opted for divorce on a very amicable note.

Robin Dharamraj Santino (Naseeruddin Shah)
Famously known as 'Bird', he's capable of breaking out of any jail. Such is his reputation that that no prison in the world can keep him in against his wishes. A professional criminal, he's lodged in Dublin jail where he's passing his remaining life. Very rigid and strict by nature, he gets angry at the slightest provocation. He donates his prison earnings to the orphanages.

Synopsis

Ever since the trailer of Teraa Surroor was launched online, the film has been generating buzz aplenty. Be it for its soundtrack or the characters or the suspense they're attempting to hide. However, one question remains --- Who is Aniruddh Brahmin? Is he really a villain. Or is it an alias? Here's a lowdown on the characters whom the needle of suspicion points on.
