Renowned singer Suresh Wadkar has been making a profound impact through his initiative to teach music to children with various ailments, including Down syndrome, autism, impaired vision, cancer, and others. For many years, Wadkar has been dedicated to helping these children find joy and purpose through singing, providing them with an avenue to express themselves and share their soulful talents with the world.
 
At an awareness program for students with Down syndrome and autism under his Ajivasan Music School Academy, Suresh Wadkar along with Prem Vasant and Padma Wadkar shared his experiences, highlighting the enthusiasm and dedication of the children. 
 
Suresh spoke of how these children eagerly rush to their classes, often persuading their parents to take them, and praised the teachers for their unwavering devotion to their students' growth and well-being.
 
He said, “The work has been going on many years, these kids, who suffers from all sorts of ailments, kids with down syndrome, autism, impaired vision, cancer, and other diseases, we have been teaching them singing, so that they can enjoy their lives and we can enjoy their soulful singing. I have seen these kids rushing to their classes with excitement. They keep pushing their parents to take them to classes. And their teachers work with utmost devotion. Their good work hasn’t been able to reach public, and it’s time for this good work to reach public.” 
 
“Every time I watch these kids sing, I don’t know why, I start tearing up, and when I see them happily performing, I think it’s divine. We are reaching out to more organizations, institutions, and people to become part of this good initiative, which will help kids suffering from ailments, even create a professional opportunity to these kids” added Wadkar.
