Actress Esha Deol, known for her philanthropic and social work, said that the sandstorm in Mumbai is a wakeup call, in the name of city life we cannot just keep on reducing trees.
Esha Deol, along with Jackie Shroff, Karan Kundrra, Amruta Fadnavis, Nitanshi Goel and more were interacting with media on the sidelines of Tree Plantation Drive in association with Asif Bhamla Foundation.
When asked about the importance of planting trees, Esha Deol said, “This is a great initiative, Asif Bhamla foundation is doing it where trees are being planted across all the schools in Mumbai. I have been a student at this school. and I have planted a tree here, that is a wonderful feeling for me.”
“This is not just for me, as you all have seen yesterday, we had a storm, there was flood recently in Dubai, there is something or the other is happening around the world, so this is a wakeup call by mother nature to preserve the nature, preserve the beauty of the nature, if have noticed we don’t get to see it very often these days. In the name of city life, we have reduced the trees, so, it is our responsibility that we need to plant trees, this is paramount for our coming generations” added Esha.
Esha recently made headlines by campaigning for her mother, Hema Malini, contesting from Mathura seat. Talking about the same, she said, “I am her daughter and I support her completely, we went to Mathura, me, and my sister Ahana, we visited all the universities there and urged every youth to go out and vote.”
After separating from her husband Bharat Takhtani, Esha Deol will soon be making a comeback on the silver screen. Talking about the same, she said, “I am shooting a couple of movies right now, and I will make the official announcement very soon. And I am happy to be working.”
