Kangana Ranaut just took to her social media profile and shared a video post, expressing her gratitude after winning court case against BMC.
The Bombay High Court has declared that the BMC's action of demolishing part of actress Kangana Ranaut's bungalow in Mumbai as ‘illegal’. A division bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla said that "it smacks of malafide intentions" and set aside BMC's September 7 and 8 notices to the actress.
The court has also ordered that a valuer will be appointed to ascertain damages caused due to demolition.
Kangana Ranaut took to her social media profile and tweeted, “When individual stands against the government and wins, it’s not the victory of the individual but it’s the victory of the democracy. Thank you everyone who gave me courage and thanks to those who laughed at my broken dreams. Its only cause you play a villain so I can be a HERO”
Later she dropped a video post; she captioned it, “With love and hope”
In the video she is seen saying, “Hello everyone. I am currently shooting for my film Thalaivi. Someone just gave me good news that the illegal demolition of my bungalow case’s verdict has been in my favour. I would like to thank our judiciary system and high court. And Like I said earlier, when an individual stands against the government and wins, it’s not the victory of the individual but it’s the victory of the democracy”
Ranaut had filed the petition on September 9 when the demolition process was initiated by BMC. The court had in an interim order on September 9 stayed the demolition work.
Kangana is currently shooting for Thalaivi, a biopic based on late politician and film actress J. Jayalalithaa, who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The film is directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vibri Media in collaboration with Karma Media And Entertainment.
